DUNCAN WILLIS Dear first years, It was about time we introduced ourselves to you all - sorry if that sounded ominous. De Minimis is the fourth estate of the law school, and like any good media outlet, our articles manage to generate every emotion possible, from happiness to mild bemusement to intense loathing. Last year, our highlight was when we were accused of being a mouthpiece for Conservative voices and terrorist sympathisers in the same week.
In between pissing people off, De Minimis plays a vital role in covering pressing issues at the Law School. In previous years we have had numerous articles on the need for recorded lectures, the prevalence of collusion at MLS and the need for open discussions on failure. De Minimis publishes weekly, and accept and publish every article that is submitted. We survive on law students procrastinating hard enough to write out a 600 word piece on their passions and gripes. We’ve put together this special LMR edition of new and old pieces to give you a taste of what we offer. We encourage you to get involved and send us your op-eds, Betoota Advocate style pieces, poems, reviews, cartoons and anything else you can possibly print on a piece of paper! We can’t wait to see what you’ve got to offer. Please direct your submissions to mlsdeminimis@gmail.com. You can also find us on Facebook and at www.deminimis.com.au Duncan Willis is a third-year JD student and the Editor-in-Chief of De Minimis Old Articles in this edition: New Articles Comments are closed.
