Now that I'm Freud, here's my In Depth (C) analysis:

Pushed in? New phase in life. Water represents the unknown. As opposed to the land, which is governed by law and bureaucracy, the sea is, at its heart, unable to be known or explored in entirety.
Sharks? Obviously a metaphor for your fear of your classmates and inadequacy while at law school. Sharks cannot stop swimming, or they'll die. It's interesting that, of all the sea creatures that could theoretically kill you, your subconscious chose one which is unrelenting and fierce. They also smell blood very quickly.
Mermaid? Desire to return to a state of innocence which will never truly be attained.
Hotel attack? Fear that the aforementioned desire will ruin the stability in life that you crave by jumping into the water.

When hope was high and life worth living
I dreamed my H1 WAM would never die, that MLS would be forgiving.

But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are exams we cannot weather
I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I'm living
So different now from what it seemed
Now MLS has killed the dream
I dreamed.

Dreamer,

you should avoid dairy 2 hours before bed and blue light, half an hour before bed. This helped me turn those dreams into cheerier romps about 98% employment rate six months out... and crippling student debt.
