Issue 0, Volume 17 WILLIAM HATELY Congratulations and welcome to Melbourne Law School and by consequence, welcome to Melbourne Law School’s most glorious publication. You’ll find print editions of this little rag scattered throughout the Law School weekly, and you’ll also find your Melbourne JD Facebook group spammed with the week’s articles every Tuesday. De Minimis is the Law School’s independent fourth estate with no allegiances or loyalties. It’s a place for MLS students to debate, argue, create, or to just get whatever off their chest. De Minimis is entirely what you make it. It can be a platform for you to raise issues evident in the industry, faculty or LSS. Or it can be a place for you to express yourself creatively, talk about your passions or even just have a bit of a whine about how rubbish Porta Via is. De Minimis relies on the student body for its contributions, and we’d like to encourage you to send in articles if you feel like you’ve got something to say. And if you’re amongst the cynical career minded types with nothing to say, send us in articles anyway, because writing for De Minimis is a good thing to put on your CV and discuss in a clerkship application.
As we’re a simple little magazine, all that we ask is that in your articles you aren’t defamatory or offensive. Just make sure it’s not complete rubbish either and it will most likely get the nod. We look forward to reading what you’ve got to say, and we hope you enjoy reading and engaging with what this little paper has to offer. William is a Third Year JD Student and Online Editor of De Minimis.

You guys know that your chances of getting law jobs are incredibly small, right? That they've quintupled the number of law students in the past few decades? And of course that you're paying 130k for a degree that the law schools used to charge about 6k for ? You ok with all that? Comments are closed.
